UNIMAS Students Visits Japan on The Sakura Science Project

The Japan Malaysia Association organized a trip for the Sakura Science project from 11 November for 10 days.  The project is an exchange program sponsored by the Japan Science and Technology Agency “to enhance the exchange of youths in Asian countries and Japan who will play a crucial role in the field of science and technology.”

A total of 10 students from the University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) led by Dr. Mohd Effendi bin Wasli arrived in Osaka on 11 November and visited universities and institutions in Kyoto, Kochi, Utsunomiya, and Tokyo to learn the expertise in their respective fields.  This year, our partners in this project included Kyoto University, Kochi University, Utsunomiya University, Takasago Thermal Engineering, among others.

The project was concluded in Tokyo on 19 November after students visited The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation and presented their feedback to representatives from the JMA.
